Kid's Club
For Children Ages 3 to 11 Years Old
Monday through Friday • 9:00 am – Noon
Monday, June 27th through Friday, August 26th
We have an exciting schedule of activities planned for the 2011 summer season. For children ages 3 - 11 years old, we have a daily program that encourages junior members to meet new friends and experience a wide range of activities at the Club. The programs run 9:00 am – 12:00 pm Monday through Friday starting June 27th until August 26th.
To make each week unique and special, we have planned different themes each week. Children can attend by the day or the week as best fits a family’s summer schedule. There will no fees for these programs, however if a field trip is planned or swimming lessons are scheduled there will be an additional fee. Reservations for Kid’s Club is required and can be made by the day or the week by contacting the Kid’s Activities Desk.

KID’S CLUB WEEKLY THEMES
Week 1 – June 27-July 1
Wonders of the Vineyard
Get ready to gear up and dig in! Whether you’re a novice or an expert explorer you will learn all about the creatures that roam the Vineyard, from the osprey to the blue claw crab! You’ll have a Boathouse blast as you create your own shark tooth necklace and even whip up a cookie crabby patty!
Week 2 – July 4-8
Holiday Celebration
You will enjoy all of your favorite holidays in one festive week. We will kick off the week with Uncle Sam’s very special 4th of July birthday. A Field Club Trick or Treat, “noon” year’s celebration and holiday gifts and fun crafts all week!
Week 3 – July 11-15
Sail Around the World in 5 Days!
Hola! Pack your bags and hang on tight while we sail to 5 countries around the world! This week your passport is your invitation for tea with the Queen in England, a fiesta in Spain, pot’o gold search in Ireland, and a clue to crack the code for an Egyptian treasure with hieroglyphics, and don’t forget the gondola races in Italy! Ciao!
Week 4 – July 18-22
A Pirate’s Life for Me!
Ahoy, Matey! Raise the jolly roger as we commandeer the isle of Martha’s Vineyard in search of the buried treasure! During this week the buccos will learn the basics of pirating 101! Whether it be competing in the peg leg race, launching the cannons in the cannon ball water fight, or walking the plank. Learn how to live a life of piracy and adventure
Week 5 – July 25-29
All Star Islanders
“It’s not whether you win or lose; it’s how you play the game!” – Mike Bellah. During this week we will learn that the key to becoming an all-star is TEAMWORK! Through a variety of exhilarating sports/team orientated activities, kids will learn the fundamentals to having fun as well as the importance of being a true team player!
Week 6 – August 1-5
Dockside Dream Jobs
No work, just play! What do you want to be when you grow up? You can be the judge as you explore all sorts of careers at Kid’s Club this week! Stop traffic as a police officer, soar to outer space as an astronaut, whip up tasty treats as a chef, and steal the spotlight as singers and dancers at the talent contest!
Week 7 – August 8-12
Time Travelers
Flash back in time as we swing through the 50’s, rock from the 60’s, get groovy with the 70’s, Rubik’s-cube-race through the 80’s and “skip-it” through the 90’s. Take a trip back in time and learn from all eras in our country’s history!
Week 8 – August 15-19
Go Green!
Reduce, Reuse and Recycle! During this week you will get a chance to give back to the environment and learn how to reduce your ecological footprint! Through a wide assortment of eco-friendly crafts, such as fossils made from coffee grinds or the creation of paper mache earth globes, you’ll will find an enjoyable reason to recycle!
